Scott Galloway (born November 3, 1964) is an American academic, author, podcast host, and entrepreneur. He is currently a clinical professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business, where he teaches brand strategy and digital marketing to MBA students. Galloway was named as one of the world's best business professors by Poets & Quants.
Galloway has founded nine companies, including Prophet, RedEnvelope, L2, and Section. L2 Inc, a digital intelligence firm founded in 2010, was acquired by Gartner in 2017 for $155 million. He is also a New York Times bestselling author of books such as "The Four: The Hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google," "The Algebra of Happiness," "Post Corona," and "Adrift: America in 100 Charts". His most recent book, "The Algebra of Wealth: A Simple Formula for Financial Security," was released in 2024. Galloway hosts the "Prof G" and "Pivot" podcasts, and publishes the "No Mercy/No Malice" newsletter. In early 2026, Galloway launched "Resist and Unsubscribe," a campaign encouraging people to stop using services from companies enabling ICE.
