Isaac Del Toro Romero, born on November 27, 2003, is a 22-year-old Mexican professional road cyclist currently racing for UAE Team Emirates – XRG. Nicknamed "El Torito" (The Little Bull), Del Toro hails from Ensenada, Baja California, and has quickly become recognized as one of cycling's most promising young talents. He is known for his climbing ability, explosive acceleration, and fearless racing style. Del Toro's strengths lie in his well-rounded climbing abilities, performance under sustained effort on demanding slopes, and solid defense on medium- and high-altitude mountain stages.
Del Toro's career breakthrough came in 2023 when he won the Tour de l'Avenir, becoming the first Mexican rider to win the prestigious under-23 title and sweeping all classifications. In 2024, he made an immediate impact by winning a stage in the Tour Down Under. In 2025, he finished second overall in the Giro d'Italia, becoming the youngest podium finisher in 85 years and the first Mexican to wear the Maglia Rosa. He also secured stage wins in the Giro d'Italia and the Tour of Austria, along with overall victories in the Vuelta a Burgos and the Tour of Austria. Most recently, in February 2026, Del Toro won the UAE Tour, securing his first WorldTour stage race win. His contract with UAE Team Emirates runs through 2029.
