Ben Freeman is the Co-founder and CEO of Omnea, an AI-native procurement and supplier management platform. Omnea helps companies manage third-party spending and automate supplier management using AI. Companies like Spotify, Wise, Monzo, and The Adecco Group use the platform. Omnea has raised over $75 million from investors including Accel, Khosla, and Insight Partners.
Freeman's path to procurement wasn't direct. He dropped out of university to run an events business and later worked in investment banking at Lazard. Before Omnea, Freeman helped build the cybersecurity company Tessian, where he observed the inefficiencies in procurement processes. This experience led him to found Omnea in 2022 with Ben Allen. He recognized the need for a collaborative system to solve procurement issues for legal, finance, IT, and other departments. Omnea is designed to integrate with existing systems and provides a single source of truth for supplier data.
