The Sentient Ally and the Portal After falling asleep, the protagonist encounters Ron, a doll brought to life through supposed magic. Ron acts as a guide, revealing that the household closets are not mere storage spaces but portals to other dimensions. These gateways lead the boy to a desolate landscape featuring a campfire and a grave, symbolising the fractured state of the family unit.
