Constructing the Noose and Carrick Bend

Precision starts at the midpoint. Fold your 60 cm line to find the center and measure back 1.5 cm to create your noose. Use the fid to open the 12 strands, ensuring an even 6-on-6 split. Pass the tail through to lock the loop. From here, transition into the Carrick Bend. Create a loop with the lower strand, pass the top strand over, and weave it round the back.
