I tested the newly returned Fable 5 against Opus 4.8 on messy, real-world legacy codebases. One model made brilliant architectural decisions but completely forgot to test its work. The other wrote great tests but introduced a subtle database transaction bug that broke the application. I found that paying more doesn't always guarantee a smoother deployment.
