"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is an American fantasy drama television series created by Ira Parker and George R. R. Martin, and is a prequel to "Game of Thrones". It is the third television series in Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" franchise and adapts the "Tales of Dunk and Egg" novellas, beginning with "The Hedge Knight". Set approximately 90 years before the events of "A Song of Ice and Fire," the series follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, a hedge knight, and his young squire, Aegon V Targaryen, nicknamed Egg. The series premiered on January 18, 2026, on HBO and HBO Max. The tone is lighter than "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon".

Episode 4 also received high praise with a 9.7/10 rating on IMDb.
The first season consists of six episodes. HBO has renewed the show for a second season. The plan is to adapt the three published novellas over three seasons. As of February 17, 2026, five episodes have aired.
