RynnBrain is an open-source AI model designed to enhance the capabilities of robots by providing them with a better understanding of the physical world. It allows robots to perform complex tasks more reliably. Alibaba's DAMO Academy developed RynnBrain and released it on February 10, 2026. The model is available on platforms like Hugging Face and GitHub.
RynnBrain helps robots with spatial understanding and time awareness. This enables them to map objects, predict trajectories, and navigate complex environments. It's trained on Alibaba's Qwen3-VL vision language system. Alibaba claims that RynnBrain outperforms other AI models like Google's Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5 and Nvidia's Cosmos-Reason2 on embodied AI benchmarks. Developers can access multiple versions of RynnBrain, starting around 2 billion parameters, to integrate into their own hardware. It is available for free.
