The OnePlus 1, also known as OPO, was the first Android smartphone manufactured by OnePlus, a Chinese consumer electronics company founded in December 2013. Unveiled in April 2014, the OnePlus One aimed to compete with flagship devices from leading smartphone manufacturers in terms of performance, quality, and price. It was designed to be developer-friendly, fostering a wide variety of custom ROMs and kernels from the community. The phone shipped with Cyanogen OS, a commercial variant of CyanogenMod, pre-installed in most markets.
The OnePlus One featured a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, and a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display. It came in 16 GB and 64 GB storage options. The rear camera was 13 megapixels, using a Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor, and the front-facing camera was 5 megapixels. It supported LTE networks and included built-in stereo speakers. Originally priced at US$299 for the 16 GB model and US$349 for the 64 GB model, it was considered a "flagship killer" due to its competitive price. The OnePlus One was initially sold through an invitation system before becoming generally available. As of February 2026, the OnePlus One is out of stock, with a price of ₹9,999.
