The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of two-door sports cars/grand tourers produced by Mercedes-AMG. Introduced in 2014, it's the second sports car developed entirely in-house by AMG. While not a direct replacement for the SLS AMG, it competes in a similar segment. All variants are assembled in Sindelfingen, Germany. The car features a "hot inside V" configuration with exhaust manifolds and turbochargers located inside the cylinder banks to reduce turbo lag.
Key features of the AMG GT include a handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission, adaptive damping, and a limited-slip rear differential. Advanced technology is woven throughout, including a widescreen cockpit with 12.3-inch screens, a Burmester surround sound system, and the MBUX infotainment system. Performance-enhancing features include AMG Dynamic Select, AMG Performance 4MATIC+, and an active underbody fairing. Safety features include active brake assist, blind spot assist, and lane keeping assist.
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe has several trims. The GT 43 Coupe starts at $106,500. The GT 55 Coupe starts at $138,150. The GT 63 Coupe starts at $181,350.
