Mario Kart World is a kart-racing game in the Mario Kart series, developed by Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2. It was released on June 5, 2025, as a launch title for the Switch 2. In Mario Kart World, players race as characters from the Mario series in go-karts on various tracks. The game supports up to 24 players in a race, doubling the amount from previous Mario Kart games.
Mario Kart World introduces an open-world design with interconnected courses, and a free-roaming mode. New features include off-roading techniques, grind rails, wall riding, the ability to rewind a few seconds, charge jumping, and air tricks.
