The "1st Puzzle Box x WESN Microblade" is a collaboration between WESN (a knife and EDC brand) and Chris Ramsay's "1st Magic" brand, resulting in a unique two-part experience. It combines a mechanical puzzle box with a reimagined WESN Microblade. This limited-edition set was released in June 2025.
The puzzle box is constructed from solid brass and anodized aluminum, designed with a substantial in-hand feel. It functions as a sequential discovery puzzle, requiring patience and curiosity to solve. Solving the puzzle reveals a special version of the WESN Microblade inside. The Microblade features a D2 tool-grade steel blade and a titanium back handle. A distinguishing feature is its skeletonized raw brass front handle, offering a view of the knife's inner workings. The Microblade itself is designed for everyday carry, with a compact size. It measures 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in open length, 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) closed, and has a blade length of 1.5 inches (3.8 cm).
The initial asking price for the WESN x 1ST Puzzle Box & Microblade was $269. Only 1,000 sets were produced, with 500 available through WESN's website. Given the limited quantity and the release date in 2025, the set may no longer be available for direct purchase from the original source.
