Located near Walt Disney World Resort, approximately 17.5 miles from Orlando, it was originally developed by The Walt Disney Company in the mid-1990s. The town was conceived as a model of New Urbanism, emphasizing pedestrian-friendly design and architectural styles drawn from early 20th-century American vernacular traditions. Celebration spans about 10.7 square miles and features a traditional downtown area with retail, offices, and residential zones connected by walkable streets and communal green spaces.
