Trey Mitchell, born Charles Mitchell III on July 16, 1993, is a professional strongman hailing from Lumberton, Texas. He is particularly known for his exceptional static strength, which has led to significant achievements in the world of strongman competitions.
Mitchell gained prominence by winning the Shaw Classic strongman championship in both 2021 and 2022, triumphing over competitors including former World's Strongest Man winners. In 2024, at the Giants Live World Deadlift Championships, he completed a 470 kg (1,036 lb) deadlift without a suit, setting a world record for the heaviest raw deadlift on a deadlift bar in strongman history. This lift also earned him the American deadlift record. In February 2026, Mitchell was listed as one of the athletes who has beaten all of the top athletes in certain competitions and is expected to compete at the 2026 World's Strongest Man competition after finishing in fourth place at the 2025 WSM.
