Sydney Bernice Sweeney, born on September 12, 1997, is an American actress and producer known for her roles in television and film. She gained early recognition for her roles in the series Everything Sucks!, The Handmaid's Tale, and Sharp Objects. Sweeney achieved wider acclaim for her performances in the HBO drama series Euphoria (2019–present) and the first season of the anthology series The White Lotus (2021), both of which earned her nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards.
Sweeney has starred in several films, including Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Anyone But You (2023), Madame Web (2024), and Immaculate (2024). She has also produced films such as Anyone But You and Immaculate through her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, which she founded in 2020. Recent projects include the films Eden, Echo Valley, and The Housemaid. In November 2025, her biopic about boxer Christy Martin, titled Christy, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Sweeney is confirmed to be filming for the third season of Euphoria, set to be released in 2026.
