Scott Samuel "Scooter" Braun (born June 18, 1981) is an American businessman, investor, and former talent manager and record executive. Braun is widely known for discovering Justin Bieber in 2008 and managing other high-profile artists like Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and many others. He is the founder of SB Projects, an entertainment and media company encompassing Schoolboy Records and SB Management. Braun retired from artist management in June 2024 to focus on his role as CEO of HYBE America. However, in 2025, he transitioned to a board member and senior advisor role at HYBE America.
Over his career, Braun has become a prolific investor, partnering with entrepreneurs and investing in companies like Uber, Spotify, and Dropbox through TQ Ventures, where he is a general partner. He has also demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy, supporting causes through the Braun Family Foundation and organizations like Pencils of Promise and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Braun has received recognition including a spot on Time 100's list of most influential people and the Billboard Change Maker Award. In 2025, Braun partnered Hybe America with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def to launch new music and cooperate on distribution and marketing.
