Michael Wilson Hardy (born September 13, 1990), most famously known as HARDY, is an American singer-songwriter celebrated for his fusion of country, rock, and hard rock elements. Hardy's music often incorporates aspects of heavy metal, punk rock, soul, and hip hop. He first gained prominence as a songwriter in Nashville, penning hits for prominent artists like Blake Shelton ("God's Country"), Florida Georgia Line ("Simple"), and Morgan Wallen ("Up Down," "More Than My Hometown"). Transitioning to a performing artist, Hardy blends traditional country with rock and alternative elements, creating narrative-driven songs rooted in personal experiences and Southern influences.
Hardy has released five studio albums, "A Rock" (2020), "The Mockingbird & the Crow" (2023), "Quit!!" (2024), and "Country! Country!" (2025), and the collaborative mixtapes, "Hixtape, Vol. 1" (2019), "Hixtape, Vol. 2" (2021), and "Hixtape: Vol. 3: Difftape" (2024). His latest tour, "The Country! Country! Tour!" began in February 2026. In October 2022, Hardy was involved in a tour bus accident that resulted in significant injuries for him and his crew. Hardy married Caleigh Ryan in October 2022, and they welcomed their first daughter, Rosie Ryan Hardy, in March 2025.
