But in Farming Simulator 25, simplicity disappears the moment you install realism mods. The invisible enemies of moisture and mud Farming in the base game is largely a predictable formula. You cut, you dry, you harvest, you profit. This challenge destroys that predictability by introducing several punishing systems created by the modder Oz. The first is the Red Tape mod, which introduces complex tax schemes, vehicle demo options, and severe government fines if animal welfare standards slip. Then comes the integration of a highly detailed moisture system. Armed with a hand-held moisture meter, a farmer must constantly monitor both soil and crop wetness. For grass, the stakes are remarkably high. If the cut grass gets wet from a sudden August rain shower, it rots. It reverts to a basic grass state and requires multiple rounds of tedious tedding to dry out. If the moisture drops below 3%, the crop withers and dies in the field. If it is too wet, the quality tanks. To make matters worse, mud physics now dictate traction, and tires realistically wear out, lose pressure, or pop entirely under stress. Mowing Field 40 under gray skies With an August rain shower clearing up, the immediate task is to get the Fortschritt E 303 into Field 40. The field is an absolute giant.
