Mitchell Hooper, born on September 29, 1995, is a Canadian strongman and kinesiologist. Hooper made history as the first Canadian to win the World's Strongest Man (WSM) competition in 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He also won the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2023, Hooper became the fourth person to win both the WSM and Arnold Strongman Classic in the same year. As of 2025, he stands as the only athlete to have won the World's Strongest Man, Arnold Strongman Classic, Rogue Invitational, and Strongest Man on Earth competitions.
Hooper's recent achievements include a third consecutive win at the Arnold Strongman Classic in March 2025. In May 2025, he placed third at the World's Strongest Man competition. After finishing 7th at the Giants Live Strongman Classic, Hooper took a break to recover from injuries. He returned in October to win the Rogue Invitational for the third time in a row. Before his career in strongman, Hooper played football at the University of Guelph and has a master's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Sydney.
