Scott Samuel "Scooter" Braun (born in New York City on June 18, 1981) is an American businessman, investor, and former talent manager and record executive. Braun is widely recognized as an influential figure in the music industry, having discovered Justin Bieber in 2008 and Ariana Grande in 2012. The success of these artists, along with others under his management, led to the creation of RBMG Records and later SB Projects. He is also the founder of Schoolboy Records, co-founder of TQ Ventures and Mythos Studios, and founder of Ithaca Holdings.
Braun managed numerous high-profile artists, including Kanye West, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, and The Kid Laroi. In 2019, Ithaca Holdings' acquisition of Big Machine Records, Taylor Swift's former label, led to a public dispute with the artist. Braun retired from artist management in 2024 to focus on his role as CEO of Hybe America, the North American division of the South Korean entertainment company Hybe Corporation. In 2025, he transitioned to a board member and senior advisor role at Hybe America. He has received accolades such as the Music Business Association's "Visionary Award" in 2019 and the "Billboard Change Maker Award" in 2020.
