Max Martin, born Karl Martin Sandberg on February 26, 1971, is a highly successful Swedish songwriter, record producer, and singer. He gained prominence in the mid-1990s and is known for writing and producing numerous hit singles for prominent artists across various genres. Some of his early successes include "...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, and "It's Gonna Be Me" by NSYNC.
Martin has written or co-written 28 Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and has produced or co-produced 26 of them. He holds the record for the second-most number-one singles as a songwriter, only behind Paul McCartney. He has received numerous awards, including five Grammy Awards and a record 11 ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards. Recent work includes production on Coldplay's upcoming album Moon Music, scheduled for release in October 2024, and Ariana Grande's album eternal sunshine. He also co-produced Taylor Swift's upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
