Capaldi began his music career performing in pubs at age nine and was discovered by his manager through a SoundCloud recording. In September 2022, he publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome. In 2023, Capaldi took a break from touring to focus on his mental and physical health, following a difficult performance at Glastonbury. He made a comeback in June 2025 with a surprise performance at Glastonbury, debuting his new single "Survive," which quickly topped the UK Singles Chart. In early 2026, Capaldi is scheduled to perform at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert series and has announced dates for a tour across North America, the UK, and Ireland.
