James Conrad, born on May 4, 1990, is a professional disc golfer from Blacksburg, Virginia. He has been a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) since 2000 and turned professional in 2006. Conrad is currently competing on the Disc Golf Pro Tour. As of October 14, 2025, his PDGA rating is 1015.
Conrad is known for winning both the PDGA World Championships in 2021 and the United States Disc Golf Championship (USDGC) in 2019. He is particularly famous for making what is widely considered the most remarkable shot in disc golf history: a 247-foot approach shot for birdie on the final hole of the 2021 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championship. This shot forced a playoff with Paul McBeth, which Conrad won to secure the world championship. The shot was featured on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10. Throughout his career, Conrad has achieved 31 wins in 348 PDGA events and has earned $239,345.55. He was sponsored by Innova Champion Discs until January 2021 when he signed a two-year sponsorship with MVP Disc Sports. He has his own line of discs and bags from MVP, including the Zenith, Terra, Nomad, and Detour discs.
