J. Theophrastus Bartholomew is credited as the author of the fourteen-volume series Games You Can Play In Your Head, By Yourself, originally published between 1988 and 1993. Each volume purportedly contained the same photograph of the author, seemingly taken around the time he began creating the games. While information about Bartholomew is scarce, the back of his book contains what little information could be gathered about him, confirming his existence despite his mysterious nature. Sam Gorski and D.F. Lovett currently own the legal rights to Bartholomew's work.
