Michael Wilson Hardy (born September 13, 1990), most famously known as HARDY, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer recognized for his fusion of country, country rock, and hard rock. His unique style incorporates elements of heavy metal, punk rock, soul, and hip hop. HARDY initially gained recognition as a songwriter in Nashville, penning hits for prominent artists like Blake Shelton ("God's Country"), Morgan Wallen, and Florida Georgia Line. He transitioned to a performing artist, releasing his debut album A Rock in 2020.
HARDY has received several awards and nominations, including the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2022 and Artist-Songwriter of the Year in 2023. He also won two Country Music Association (CMA) Awards and three CMA Triple Play Awards. His recent projects include the albums Quit!! (2024) and Country! Country! (2025). In late 2025, HARDY released his new single "Bottomland" and his album Country! Country! in September. In February 2026, HARDY entered the top 10 on the MusicRow Top Songwriter Chart. He is currently on the Country! Country! tour in 2026 with support from various artists.
