The daughter of actress Blythe Danner and filmmaker Bruce Paltrow, she gained recognition for roles in films such as Seven, Emma, and Great Expectations. Paltrow won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance in Shakespeare in Love (1998). She later appeared in films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Shallow Hal. From 2008 to 2019, she portrayed Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
