Guy Stuart Ritchie (born September 10, 1968) is an English filmmaker known for his distinctive style of British comedy gangster films and large-scale action-adventure movies. He is a director, producer, screenwriter, and businessman. Ritchie's films often feature ensemble casts, fast-paced dialogue, and a focus on crime and action. He holds black belts in Shotokan karate and Judo, and a third-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Ritchie gained recognition with films like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" (1998) and "Snatch" (2000). He has directed box-office hits such as "Sherlock Holmes" (2009) and "Aladdin" (2019).
