Emma Stone (born Emily Jean Stone on November 6, 1988) is an American actress and producer celebrated for her versatility and captivating performances. Stone began her acting career as a child in local theater in Arizona. She moved to Los Angeles at age 15 to pursue acting, debuting on television in 2004 with "In Search of the New Partridge Family". Her film debut was in the comedy "Superbad" (2007). Stone gained widespread recognition for her leading role in "Easy A" (2010).
Stone has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards for Best Actress for "La La Land" (2016) and "Poor Things" (2023). She has also won two British Academy Film Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Volpi Cup. In 2017, she was named the world's highest-paid actress and one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. Stone's recent work includes starring in "Kinds of Kindness" (2024) and "Bugonia" (2025), the latter earning her further nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress and Best Picture. Stone co-founded the production company Fruit Tree in 2020 with her husband, Dave McCary.
