Dr. Nicole McNichols is a human sexuality professor at the University of Washington (UW), where she teaches the largest human sexuality course in the United States, titled "The Diversity of Human Sexuality," which enrolls approximately 4,000 students annually. She is known for her dynamic and sex-positive approach to teaching and discussing topics related to intimacy, pleasure, and relationships. McNichols received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, a master's in psychology from NYU, and a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Washington.
Dr. McNichols is also an author and speaker, contributing to publications such as Psychology Today, The Seattle Times, and The Conversation. She co-authored the textbook, Human Sexuality in a Diverse Society, and gave a TEDx Talk entitled "Students On Top: A Vision for 21st Century Sex Education". Her forthcoming book, You Could Be Having Better Sex: A Definitive Guide to a Happier, Healthier and Hotter Sex Life, was released in February 2026.
