Cheryl Ruth Hines, born on September 21, 1965, is an American actress, comedian, director, and producer. Hines is widely recognized for her role as Cheryl David, the wife of Larry David, in the HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000–2024), which earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She also starred as Dallas Royce in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory (2011–2014). Hines made her directorial debut with the film Serious Moonlight in 2009. In January 2014, Hines received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Beyond acting, Hines has contributed to several films and television shows, including RV (2006), Waitress (2007), The Ugly Truth (2009), and A Bad Moms Christmas (2017). She has also made guest appearances on shows like Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Scrubs. More recently, Hines appeared in the film Popular Theory (2023). She is a panelist on the musical game show I Can See Your Voice. Hines is married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the current U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. She publicly supported Kennedy during his 2024 presidential campaign and subsequent confirmation. Hines is actively involved with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) and serves on its board of trustees. She also co-founded an eco-friendly beauty brand called Hines+Young.
