The world feels alive, chaotic, and deeply uncooperative. Returning to his garage, Drea attempts to organize his yard, tossing steering components and suspension parts into a giant junk pile that serves as his primary inventory system. He grabs his trusted pliers, hops into his battered personal hatchback, and drives toward town to see what trouble he can find. Lucas offers a bizarre trade: if Drea can repair a broken tractor that Lucas recently purchased under the table, Lucas will lend him a goat to graze down Rennie's overgrown field for free. The deal is struck, leaving Drea with multiple overlapping mechanical quests to manage. Crafting an American Wedge for the Cousin Before tackling the tractor, Drea must clear out his driveway. Lacking white paint, he improvises white stars by spraying small, beige "X" marks over the navy blue field. To top off the custom build, Drea reluctantly surrenders a set of deer antlers from his own living room wall, bolting them directly to the hood as a makeshift ornament. To pull off this agricultural miracle, Drea retrieves the heavy metal tire chains he discovered earlier near the cow pastures. Using a hand wrench, he jacks up the front end of his hatchback and wraps the thick chains tightly around his road tires to gain traction in the deep Polish mud. He backs the vehicle up to a two-furrow plow, connects the towing rig, and hits the gas. Amazingly, the hatchback rises to the challenge. With engine roaring and mud flying, Drea drifts the small commuter car across the agricultural field, digging up rows of potatoes with surprising efficiency.
