Kill Bill is a two-volume martial arts action film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The films follow a bride (Uma Thurman), codenamed "Black Mamba," who seeks revenge on a team of assassins (the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad) and their leader, Bill (David Carradine), after they try to kill her and her unborn child on her wedding day. Kill Bill: Volume 1 is a fast-paced, stylized action film with a heavy emphasis on sword fighting and violence. Kill Bill: Volume 2 slows the pace and focuses more on dialogue and character development. Volume 1 was released in 2003, and Volume 2 was released in 2004. As of October 2024, both volumes are available for streaming on Paramount+.
