Wiz is an Israeli-American cloud security company headquartered in New York City, founded in January 2020 by Assaf Rappaport, Yinon Costica, Roy Reznik, and Ami Luttwak. These founders are also alumni of the Israeli Defense Forces and had previously founded Adallom, a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solution acquired by Microsoft. Wiz develops a cloud security platform that helps businesses secure their cloud infrastructure at scale. The platform offers cloud visibility services for enterprise security by providing an overview of security risks across clouds, containers, and workloads, without needing agents or sidecars. It helps identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, network exposure, and manage identities and privileges.
Wiz's agentless, graph-based cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) scans every layer of a client's cloud environment to identify possible risks for virtual machines, containers, and serverless configurations. Key people include Assaf Rappaport (CEO) and Dali Rajic (COO). Wiz has been recognized as a leading cloud security platform and was the fastest startup to reach $100 million in ARR in 18 months. In March 2025, Alphabet Inc. announced it would acquire Wiz in a $32 billion deal. The acquisition received unconditional approval from the European Union's antitrust authorities in February 2026.
