SK Hynix, stylized as SK hynix, is a South Korean supplier of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and flash memory chips and one of the world's largest semiconductor vendors. The company was founded as Hyundai Electronics in 1983 by Chung Ju-yung. It was integrated into the SK Group in 2012. SK Hynix has four production sites in South Korea and China, with R&D centers in Italy, the United States, Taiwan and Belarus, and sales subsidiaries in ten countries. As of February 2026, SK Hynix has a market cap of $408.88 Billion USD.

Recent news includes SK Hynix's plans to establish a U.S. arm specializing in AI solutions, and the development of a new AI memory concept called H3 based on stacked NAND flash storage. The company is expected to begin shipping HBM4 for Nvidia's Vera Rubin this month. For its leading technology and product innovation, SK Hynix has over 50% of the global HBM market share.
