Junglekeepers is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Amazon rainforest, specifically in the Madre de Dios region of Peru. This area is known as Peru's "biodiversity capital" and is one of the most ecologically rich places on Earth. Founded by Paul Rosolie, the organization employs preventative solutions to combat deforestation caused by illegal logging, poaching, and gold mining. Junglekeepers aims to safeguard this vital ecosystem and support Indigenous communities. They have protected over 120,000 acres of rainforest.
Junglekeepers' strategies include acquiring and protecting threatened land concessions, engaging local and Indigenous communities in conservation, and utilizing technology for monitoring. Their work involves patrolling and preventing illegal activities, providing education and sustainable alternatives to deforestation, and creating a continuous conservation corridor along the Las Piedras River. Paul Rosolie co-founded Junglekeepers alongside Dina Tsouluhas, Juan Julio Durand, and Rebecca Foon. In January 2026, Junglekeepers launched their "END GAME" campaign, an 18-month initiative to protect 50,000 acres at risk of destruction. In early February 2026, Junglekeepers released footage of an encounter with the Mashco Piro, an uncontacted tribe, highlighting the threats they face from illegal activities.
